From the Playa to City Parks...BRAF Paves the Way

The biggest little city in the world, Reno, Nevada, has two Black Rock Arts Foundation projects right now. We have been blogging about the happenings at the The Mangrove, and now there is a photography exhibit of Burning Man/Black Rock Arts Foundation art on display at McKinley Art Gallery, West from October 23 – December 11.

The exhibition is funded by Black Rock Arts Foundation (BRAF) and shows sculptures as they were displayed at Burning Man and then placed in civic environments as temporary public art. The photography captures the installations as they were experienced on the playa juxtaposed to their city locations.
